A Trio integration lets you receive and make payments in Brazil and reconcile your bank accounts through the API. This page explains what you integrate with, what drives the timeline and the order in which to read the rest of the getting started pages.

What you integrate with

  • The API: every path starts with /v2, and the API reference documents each endpoint, request and response.
  • Webhooks: Trio notifies your application when an event occurs, so you do not need to poll. See Webhooks.
  • The Trio App: the web console (internet banking) where you manage accounts, create API credentials and webhooks, and follow charges, fees, refunds and transfers in real time.
With Trio Checkout you can also offer a payment flow without building it yourself, either embedded on your website or hosted by Trio. You develop and test in the sandbox first. When you are ready to go live, register for a Trio account, or log in if you already have one.

How long it takes

A Trio integration can be completed in as little as one week. For businesses with additional integration requirements, the process takes anywhere from less than a week to three months, depending on:
  • the engineering resources available for development and testing;
  • the integration with internal systems such as ERP or accounting platforms;
  • the change management across the teams the integration affects.
Knowing these dependencies up front helps you plan a smooth integration.
