# Sandbox account

> Create a free sandbox account to test the Trio API and webhooks without financial risk.

Before you integrate with the Trio API, create an account in the sandbox: Trio's free, isolated testing environment. Sign up at [app.sandbox.trio.com.br/signup](https://app.sandbox.trio.com.br/signup).

## What the sandbox is for

The sandbox replicates the behavior of the production API without touching real money or data. Use it to:

* simulate transactions such as payments, withdrawals and refunds;
* test validation and error handling, including failed and blocked transactions;
* exercise every API operation and webhook event, so your integration is validated before it moves to production.

The sandbox and production have different base URLs: see [Environments](https://docs.trio.com.br/v2/developers/environments.md).

## Register your organization

The first time you access the sandbox, you register your organization. Registration is fast, free and open to any company that wants to evaluate Trio before moving to production.

## Explore the Trio App

The sandbox Trio App is the testing version of Trio's internet banking and mirrors production. Use it to explore the platform, validate operational flows and prepare your API integration. In the App you can:

* manage accounts and balances;
* perform transactions and monitor account activity;
* access settings and operational reports;
* configure and validate API credentials and webhooks.
